Jan Schuiteman
Dr. Jan Schuiteman joined Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc. in January of 1998 with Boehringer Ingelheim
Vetmedica’s purchase of NOBL Labs. He currently is Vice President of Strategic Planning. Prior to the merger
he was president of NOBL Laboratories.
Dr. Schuiteman received his DVM degree from Iowa State’s College of veterinary medicine in 1974. With a team,
he built a technical Agri Business called Pro Edge LTD. Pro Edge LTD had three operating companies: NOBL
Laboratories, a swine biologics company which was a leading company serving the swine industry. Trans Ova
Genetics, which is a world leader in bovine embryo transfer, cloning, and production of transgenic animals.
Pro Pork is a Swine Management company and is also in production of pork for both the US and Japanese
customers.
Jan is a member of the American Swine Practioners, on the Board of Northwestern College in Orange City, and
serves on multiple church, school, and community boards.
Jan is married to his wife Bev who is also Dutch. They have four children, three boys and a daughter.
