Instructions for Application

For current EILC students:

1. Fill out the application for the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Learning Community online at www.isupjcenter.org/elc.
2. Wait for confirmation from the ISU Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship approving your application.
3. When you receive the approval, you must then sign a housing contract with the Department of Residence for the current academic year. You can do this on Access Plus. You will be automatically placed in a room. If you would like to change rooms after your room assignment has been made, you may move yourself around on the floor to open spaces via the Step Inside Program on Access Plus. If you have any specific requests or are having trouble with Step Inside, contact Dawn Kottler at the Department of Residence, and she will be able to assign you to an open room.
4. You are also required to register for BusAd 292, the required weekly EILC seminar class for community members. The class is held on Tuesdays from 9:30am-10:50am and meets in the Buchanan Hall main lounge.

For current Iowa State students (not yet a part of EILC):

1. Fill out the application for the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Learning Community online at www.isupjcenter.org/elc.
2. Wait for confirmation from the ISU Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship approving your application.
3. When you receive the approval, you must then sign a housing contract with the Department of Residence for the current academic school year. You can do this by going to 2419 Friley, or by requesting a contract via email to sign and return. Your room will be assigned after you have completed your contract. After your room is assigned, you may manage it on Access Plus with the Step Inside Program to move yourself around on the floor to open spaces. If you have any specific requests or are having trouble with Step Inside, contact Dawn Kottler at the Department of Residence and she will be able to assign you to an open room.
4. You are also required to register for BusAd 292, the required weekly seminar class for community members. The class is held on Tuesdays from 9:30am-10:50am and meets in the Buchanan Hall main lounge.

For incoming students (incoming freshmen and transfer students):

1. Fill out the application for the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Learning Community online at www.isupjcenter.org/elc.
2. Wait for confirmation from the ISU Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship approving your application.
3. You must complete your housing contract online in Access Plus using the pin/password that you received with your admission notice. Your room will be assigned to you in May by the Department of Residence. If you have any specific requests or would like your room changed, contact Dawn Kottler (after June 1) at the Department of Residence and she will be able to assign you to an open room.
4. You are required to register for BusAd 292, the required weekly seminar class for members of this community. The class is held on Tuesdays from 9:30am-10:50am and meets in the Buchanan Hall main lounge. You will register for this class during your summer orientation session.
