UNI Hosts Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Iowa Conference

Cedar Falls, Iowa -- The third annual Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Iowa Conference will be held at the University of Northern Iowa in Maucker Union on February 27, 2004 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with registration at 8:30 a.m. This statewide conference brings together college students, faculty, and staff from all over Iowa for a day of networking, education, and inspirational speakers. If you have an interest in entrepreneurship or small business, this conference is for you.

The conference is only open to Iowa college students, faculty, and staff. It is not open to the general public. The conference is free to all Iowa college attendees, as all costs are being covered by the conference sponsors - Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization, Collegiate VIP and the John Pappajohn Centers.

This year's conference is proud to have a spectacular group of speakers including: W.A. Krause, CEO of Krause Gentle Corporation; Dan Leese, COO of Beringer Blass Wine Estate of Napa, California; Jerome Conway, President and CEO of Austin Sonics Inc.; Dan Schmitt, CEO of Anthony Allen & Quinn; speakers from Collegiate VIP - an exciting and innovative virtual internship program for colleges and universities; a speaker from Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization to talk about the organization; many young entrepreneurs who have started and are running successful small businesses; and an informational speaker on how to start your own small business.

All non-breakout presentations will be live webcast on the on the UNI web site for those not able to attend. The presentations will be archived on UNI servers after the event and will be available for viewing.
