ISU Pappajohn Center to hold Nov. 10 Entrepreneur Forum

Ames, Iowa -- Two Iowa State University alumni and central Iowa entrepreneurs will speak on "Entrepreneurism on the Edge -- Are You Scared Yet?" at noon Wednesday, Nov. 10, in the Pioneer Room, Memorial Union. The event is free and open to the public. Participants may bring their lunch.

Peg Armstrong-Gustafson is the owner and founder of Amson Technology, a commercial real estate, technology investment and business-consulting firm based in West

Des Moines. Armstrong-Gustafson was elected an ISU Foundation governor in 1997 and named to the foundation's board of directors in 2001. She served as president of the foundation from July 2002 to June 2003. She also is a member of the ISU Research Park board of directors. She has a bachelor's degree in animal science from Iowa State.

Craig Hiemstra is developing new strategic business relationships and consulting for Phasient Technologies, Ames. In 2000, Hiemstra co-founded Prairie iNet (a wireless Internet provider) and served as the firm's president for four years. He has served as a manager for four start-up businesses and has 13 years of entrepreneurial experience. He has a bachelor's degree in agricultural business from Iowa State.

The forums are sponsored bimonthly by the ISU Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship. A roundtable discussion follows the speaker presentations. The forums feature area entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and business consultants.
