Join us on August 4th at 7:30 AM for our Inaugural “First Shot” featuring KinoSol, winner of the Student Innovation of the Year at the 2016 Prometheus Awards.
First Shot will give a local company or entrepreneur a chance to pitch their company to the Ames Community. The community will then get the chance to ask questions, give tips and really dive into what each business is all about.
Join us on the First and Third Thursday’s at the Octagon Center for the Arts in Downtown Ames.
When: Doors Open at 7:30 AM for coffee and conversation;
Presentation begins at 8 AM.
KinoSol creates small scale, solar powered food dehydrators for families in developing countries. KinoSol units use a natural convection system and are capable of dehydrating fruit, vegetables, insects, and grains. The team is made up four students from Iowa State University studying global resource systems: Mikayla Sullivan, Ella Gehrke, Clayton Mooney, and Elise Kendall.
