Startup Ames in an initiative led by local entrepreneurs to bring together the entrepreneurial community to help foster a robust community that gives entrepreneurs fertile ground to launch new businesses in Ames.
We’re excited to have Paul Singh of Results Junkies Tech Tour to talk about the trends and opportunities for startups in the Ames community.
About the RJTechTour (words from Paul):
In 2016, I’m driving across North America to visit the places that startups actually start (and grow) their businesses. At each stop, I’ve created a week-long series of events for entrepreneurs and investors.
Over the past 5 years, I’ve flown 500,000 miles, raised tens of millions of dollars for my venture funds and invested in hundreds of companies around the world. I know startups and small businesses better than anyone else. And they know me.
Along the way, I’ll mentor thousands of entrepreneurs, visit incubators and coworking spaces, hold investor dinners and dive into the local (tech) culture.
I’m doing it all with a pickup truck and a custom-built Airstream travel trailer.
We will be having the event at the ISU Economic Development Core Facility and are expecting this to be one of the biggest Startup Ames events with all of the leaders in the community that want to see Ames thrive in the startup and tech space.
