WHO ARE VMS MENTORS?

ISU VMS is recruiting mentors from all industries and sectors. Ideal mentors are individuals with a passion for supporting entrepreneurs and wish to give back to their community.

Mentors with startup experience are especially valuable.

Our expectation of mentors:

• Approach all meetings with a founder-first mentality
• Abide by the ISU VMS Principles and behaviors around conflicts of interest
• Take a coaching mentality, as opposed to a consultant mentality
• Listen and ask questions

Mentor Requirements:
Mentors must attend 9/12 monthly mentor meetings and commit to working with at least one venture every year (two is highly encouraged).
