There is No Shortage of Intellectual Wealth in Ames
We have said it before: Entrepreneurs
in Ames (and surrounding) have the advantage of proximity to Iowa State
University. With the ability to access knowledge, human talent,
mentorship, research, makerspaces and labs, as well as the emphasis on
campus for growing entrepreneurship and innovation, we are seeing more
entrepreneurs and global companies circling back to Ames.
Then there is the multiplier effect: ISU alumni and friends.
Many alumni have given back their time and expertise within our
entrepreneurial programs, such as CYstarters. We get excited connecting
business leaders with future entrepreneurs. Not to mention friends,
who may not have ever stepped foot on Iowa State’s campus for a class,
but have an affinity to helping entrepreneurs grow in Iowa.
If you’re new to starting something, good news–multiple resources are
available. All it takes is one connection or attending a workshop, to
build momentum to launch and grow your business. Let us know how we can
help or connect you. Special thanks to the people who provide the brainpower to grow businesses in Iowa, and especially in Ames and across campus.
