College-by-College Pitch Off: College of Design

The College-by-College Pitch Off is back! The event takes place in all seven colleges at Iowa State University. Students will have the chance to deliver a 90-second pitch about an idea or business they are working on to a panel of judges for cash prizes. In addition to a cash prize, the top four winners in each college pitch-off will advance to the College-by-College Pitch Off Finale held on February 27, 2024.

Registration for the 2024 College-by-College Pitch Off is now open. ALL college competitions are open to the first 25 students to apply! If your college pitch competition is full, you will be added to a waitlist. 

In addition to a cash prize, up to four top winners in each college pitch-off will advance to the College-by-College Pitch Off Finale held on February 27, 2024.
Awards are at the discretion of the judges based on total number of participants in each college competition. 

• 1st Place Winners = $500 cash prize, in addition to advancing to the College-by-College Pitch Off Finale
• Runner-Up Winners = $250 cash prize, in addition to advancing to the College-by-College Pitch Off Finale

College-by-College Pitch Off Finale – Up to $18,000 in Cash Prizes

February 27, 2-5:00 p.m. at the Student Innovation Center, Launch Pad

• 1st Place Winner(s) = $5,000 for each category (new idea and/or existing business)
• 2nd Place Winner(s) = $2,500 for each category (new idea and/or existing business)
• 3rd Place Winner(s) = $1,500 for each category (new idea and/or existing business)
