SYMPOSIUM & TRAVEL LOGISTICS
The 2025 USASBE Rural Entrepreneurship Symposium will be held on the campus of Iowa State University in the Gerdin Business Building (2167 Union Dr., Ames).

Ames, home to Iowa State University, is located in Central Iowa. The Des Moines International Airport is the closest airport to Ames and a 45-minute drive away.
There are no ride sharing services that operate between Ames and Des Moines. If you will be flying in, please either plan to rent a car in Des Moines or sign-up during registration for a shuttle to and from the airport and Gateway Hotel, our contracted lodging vendor.
Shuttles between Gateway Hotel and the airport will run all day Tuesday, July 8th, in the afternoon and evening on July 11th, and in the morning on July 12th and will be scheduled based on flight arrival and departure times. The airport shuttle is complimentary for registered attendees and $100 for their non-registered guests, roundtrip. Reservations are required. Request shuttle rides for you and any guests and provide your flight arrival and departure times when you register. If you plan to use the airport shuttle, please anticipate a wait time of up to 2 hours at the airport after your arrival and before your departure.
The symposium has reserved a limited number of rooms at a discounted rate at the Gateway Hotel (2100 Green Hills Dr., Ames). The Symposium rate is $108/night plus tax for the duration of the symposium. See Lodging Page for important information on making reservations before June 4, 2025.
Gateway Hotel offers complimentary parking for guests. The symposium will operate complimentary shuttles every day of the symposium at designated times between Gateway Hotel and the symposium.
Those planning to drive to the symposium each day should plan to park on the upper level of the East Campus Parking Deck (500 Wallace Rd) and walk across Wallace Rd to the Gerdin Business Building. Parking is $1.50/hour until 5:30pm and requires a smartphone with the ParkMobile App available on iPhone and Android.
