The US Association of Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE) Rural Entrepreneurship Symposium will be convening this July 8^th through 11^th at Iowa State University (ISU) and is being co-hosted by the Department of Apparel, Events, & Hospitality Management and the Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship.

The symposium promotes an integrated approach to better understanding entrepreneurship in rural areas and small towns. It brings together researchers, educators, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and supporters of rural entrepreneurship to generate more data-driven research, education, policy, and action for the 61% of the U.S. who live in small towns and rural spaces.

Seen as the signature event for USASBE’s Rural Entrepreneurship Special Interest Group, but open to all who are interested in entrepreneurship and innovation in rural areas, the symposium will include 3 days of talks and presentations in the mornings and early afternoons on ISU’s campus followed by unique rural tourism site visits around Central Iowa.

As a symposium sponsor, your financial support will help showcase Iowa as a leader in entrepreneurship and innovation. As a benefit, you will receive exposure on the symposium’s website and recognition on its marketing materials. Optionally, you could gain on-site visibility among industry peers and leaders and key decision-makers.
