REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Please familiarize yourself with the information on Schedule, Travel Logistics, and Site Visits before beginning the online registration process. The online registration form requires that you enter selections for excursions, meals, guests, lodging, and transportation. Knowing when and how you plan to arrive and depart, which meals and activities you will participate in, and who will be accompanying you before you begin the online registration process is recommended. Please book your airfare, rental car, and lodging before you begin the online registration process.
Early Bird Registration is $595 until May 1, 2025. May 2 through June 3 the registration fee is $795.
Registration includes the entire symposium and is the same price for all registrants. There are no 1, 2, part-day, or virtual registration options, or reduced rates for students. Attendance at the symposium is in-person.
Registration includes dinner on July 8th; breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as morning and afternoon snacks on July 9th and 10th; and breakfast, lunch, and morning and afternoon snacks on July 11th. Dinner on July 11th is on your own. Provided meals and breaks are buffet-style, and you may request dietary accommodations during online registration.
Attire for the 2025 USASBE Rural Entrepreneurship Symposium is business casual to casual for all symposium sessions, meals, and excursions. While none of the Rural Tourism Site Visits are physically intensive, please be prepared for outdoor Iowa-in-July weather. Closed-toe shoes are required for all site visits. Attendees staying at Gateway Hotel will have an opportunity to stop and change at the hotel before the excursions depart.
Lodging is not included with registration. The symposium has a room block at Gateway Hotel and will only be offering daily shuttles between Gateway Hotel and the symposium. See Lodging for more information.
Transportation from the closest airport to the symposium is limited. Shuttles to and from the airport and Gateway Hotel are included in registration but must be requested during online registration. See here for more information: Travel Logistics: Location / Lodging / Transportation
All Rural Tourism Site Visits and transportation to and from excursions are included in registration. All participants are required to use the provided transportation for the excursions.
The tours of the ISU Student Innovation Center and the ISU Brewing Lab as well as the Alumni Entrepreneur Showcase Market & Dinner on the evening of July 8th before the symposium begins are included in registration. During this evening only, because attendees will be arriving at different times and it is logistically feasible, registrants have the option to attend both the tours and dinner or just the dinner.
Non-registered guests are allowed to use the airport shuttle and attend the opening festivities on July 8th and the rural tourism site visits on July 9-11 for an additional cost.
Early Bird Registration costs $595/person through May 1st. From May 2nd until registration closes on June 3rd, registration costs $795/person. There will be no onsite registration; pre-registration online is required.
The online registration system will collect your registration information and that of any guests accompanying you. After you submit the online registration form, Iowa State University (ISU) staff will create an invoice within 2 business days and email it to the email address you provide along with a payment instruction sheet. You will have 14 days from the date of your registration to login to the ISU payment portal and make a secure credit card payment of your total registration cost.
We cannot offer refunds of registration costs, and non-payment or non-attendance does not constitute a cancellation. Once an invoice is generated from ISU, you are liable for payment.
